Who is Freedom Fuels?

Freedom Fuels is a Brisbane based, privately owned national company that employs over 500 people and sells more than 150 million litres of renewable fuels per year. Our business successfully operates in 5 key areas:

• Retail. 53 Freedom branded outlets with fuel and convenience stores across three states.
• Terminaling. Supply and storage of fuel products.
• Transport. Distribution using specialised tankers and management of all fuel logistics.
• Commercial. Fuels, lubricants and services in markets including wholesale distributors, mining, agricultural, marine, industrial, and transport sectors.
• Flexitankers. 16 on-site vehicles providing refuelling solutions throughout South East Queensland.

Freedom Fuels is one of only three 100% Australian owned, independent retailers in the industry. It was founded by Matthew and Andrew Morland; two men from a family with 45 years experience in the petroleum industry.

Their business has grown from 11 petrol convenience outlets in 2001 to 53 locations with gross sales in excess of $500 million in 2007.

Freedom Fuels aim to develop the biofuels market and encourage confidence and sales in the Freedom Elite 95 and 98 ethanol-blended range. Ethanol is a natural octane enhancer and Freedom Fuels have set themselves apart from others by supplying an ethanol-blended 95-octane fuel, and a premium grade ethanol-blended 98-octane fuel. Freedom Fuels also supplies Elite Diesel, a cleaner-burning, biodegradable, renewable blend.

Over 4000 tonnes of greenhouse emissions are saved each month by customers choosing Freedom Fuels’ renewable fuel.
