About Us

Less carbon every day

Who is Freedom Fuels Australia?

Freedom Fuels was established by Matthew and Andrew Morland when they merged a number of family related companies. Freedom Fuels began as 11 retail sites and approximately 50 employees. In 2009, Freedom Fuels has a business footprint that covers 58 owned and operated retail sites, a transport fleet of over 28 tankers supported by an import fuel terminal network in Sydney and Brisbane. We currently service a customer base from Gippsland in Victoria to coal miners in the Bowen Basin, Queensland and all in between.

We take pride in being 100% Australian owned and operated and directly employing over 600 people within our organisation.

Freedom Fuels Today
As published in 2009 September edition of  Business Review Weekly Freedom Fuels turnover for 2009 was AU$1billion which rates the company within the Top 50 privately owned companies in Australia. Freedom Fuels aims to provide its customers with an increase in choice, centering on lower carbon fuel solutions and competitive prices combined with value beyond product.

From our total yearly volume of 850million litres of fuel, we sell more than 360million litres of renewable blended fuels. Freedom Fuels' range of renewable fuels reduces our carbon footprint and enhances performance.  We are committed to providing our customers with the highest quality, cleanest fuels available using imported fuel and local sustainable products that meet our cost and quality standards. Our producer-to-pump quality control processes ensure that our fuel meets the highest Australian standards, every time.

Freedom Fuels has invested significantly in terminal inline injection systems in the ports of Botany Bay and Brisbane to facilitate both the state and federal governments move towards mandating renewable fuel blends (Ethanol and Biodiesel).
